Well, there is nothing wrong with the pairing. In fact, we love the fact that it's a fresh one. But what got us hooked on, is Kat's recent movie choices. Till a couple of years back, the actress was a hot choice as a leading lady for Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Salman Khan. But now?

These days, Kat is picking up movies which have younger actors -- Fitoor, Baar Baar Dekho and, of course, Half Girlfriend. While she is paired opposite Aditya Roy Kapoor in Abhishek Kapoor's Fitoor, Nitya Mehra's Baar Baar Dekho will have Sidharth Malhotra romancing her.
There can be two theories about Kat's new modus operandi.

The first is, of course, the invasion by the new girls. Parineeti Chopra, Alia Bhatt, Shraddha Kapoor -- these girls not only look good on-screen, but have also impressed the audience and the critics with their histrionics. And seems, they demand a lesser fee than her.
The other reason could be, Kat doesn't want to end up being just a pretty face in any film. After being in the industry for more than 12 years, she is now hungry for meatier roles.
Well, whatever her reasons or compulsions, it would be interesting to see how she pulls it off with the younger male bracket.
